Delta Flt 534 was Heading from Cancun to Atlanta and diverted to Tampa after a button was sparking in the cockpit (http://avherald.com/h?article=46187c38&opt=0). Upon the ensuring departure about a hour later, the right hand engine gave out immediately after takeoff and the crew declared an emergency, landing within 8 minutes (http://avherald.com/h?article=46187fa0&opt=0).

Lufthansa 423 was running through a checklist next to runway 22R. American Airlines FLT2289 took off and kick up some rocks, cracking some windows.

American Airlines 222 was not impressed with the runway selection at Logan today. And he did have a point at the winds were 20+ gusting to 32-37 from 190 and planes were landing on runway 27 when there is a runway 22 that could have been used more than it was.

Japan Airlines Flt 7 had a fuel leak right before an attempt to leave Boston today. This was the second incident this week as monday’s flight had a battery fire after pulling into the gate.

Pen Air 541 was lined up for a final approach on runway 33L and close to last second was asked to switch to land on runway 27. I’m sure some of the passengers may have been a bit worried about the steep turn, but the pilot and atc were both happy in the end.
